Macy's and its employees support a wide variety of programs throughout the year, including:
Partners in Time
Partners in Time is our corporate volunteer program in which employees share their time and talent to benefit the community-based organizations and programs of their choosing. These agencies focus on education, women's and children's issues, and food aid programs, as well as support for the homeless and the elderly. Annual Partners in Time events in all stores include "Bag Hunger" and "Adopt-a-Family." "Bag Hunger" is an employee food drive for local food banks.
The United Way
The United Way Campaign is another way Macy's employees give back to the community. Each year, Macy's and our parent company, Macy's Inc., take part in our largest employee-based campaign, providing support to those in need.
Earning For Learning
"Earning For Learning" encourages our employees, retirees, and/or immediate family members to volunteer in their children's schools for fifteen hours, either at a school or for a student-related project. The Macy's Foundation provides a grant of $250 per fifteen hours, with a maximum annual grant of $500.
Matching Gifts Program
The "Matching Gifts Program" matches employee donations to eligible institutions. Macy's Inc. has a Corporate Matching Gift Program, which matches employee gifts from $50 to $20,000. Matching Gifts are made to eligible non-profit educational institutions, arts/cultural institutions, and special focus programs - Breast Cancer, Community Based Domestic Violence, Food Aid, and HIV/AIDS. Learn more on the Matching Gift Program by calling 1-800-838-2063.
