Not what you were expecting? Returns are easy at macys.com. You can return or exchange your purchase to any Macy's store or macys.com by mail. Plus, you have 180 days to decide!


Most macys.com items can be returned to a Macy's store, with original proof of purchase, within 180 days of purchase. Read items with special guidelines for information about restrictions on store returns, as well as other restrictions.

Returning a macys.com purchase
Take the merchandise, the invoice (with bar code attached) that came with your order and the original packing materials to any Sales Associate to process your exchange or return. You'll receive a credit to the original tender (e.g. major credit card). Please note, shipping fees are not refunded for preference returns.

Returning a gift you received
Follow the instructions above and you'll receive a store merchandise credit.

Returning a store purchase
Store purchases must be returned/exchanged at a Macy's store location. Find a Macy's store near you

Unfortunately, macys.com cannot accept items that were purchased at Macy's stores. Please do not attempt to return items purchased at a Macy's store using our online shipping label, they will not be accepted and will be returned to you. We cannot accept responsibility for items purchased in stores that are returned to our warehouses.
