The following rules and regulations apply to the LOYALITY SHOPPING SPREE SWEEPSTAKES (the "Sweepstakes") offered by Macy's Central, a division of Macy's Retail Holdings, Inc. ("Sponsor").
Sweepstakes begins on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM and ends on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 9:00 PM (the "Sweepstakes Period").
ONLINE ENTRY ONLY: Completely fill out the online entry form on www.macys.com/neworleans during the Sweepstakes Period. Limit one entry per person per email address. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Multiple or mechanically reproduced entries will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, garbled, damaged, illegible or otherwise deficient or incompletely received for any reason. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in offer, administration of the award or in the announcement of the prize. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or otherwise in violation of the rules. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify any promotion not capable of completion as planned, including by tampering, unauthorized intervention or force majeure. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is only open to residents of the state of Louisiana, who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry, except employees of Sponsor and its Sponsor's affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible. Any and all entries received from non-Louisiana residents will be discarded. Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
Two (2) winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received from Louisiana residents.
PRIZE: Two (2) winners will receive a $1,000 Macy's Shopping Spree. One winner will shop during the Grand Opening of the Macy's Esplanade at 1401 West Esplanade, New Orleans, LA, on October 25, 2008. The second winner will shop during the Grand Opening of Macy's Lakeside, 3301 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metarie, LA on October 25, 2008. Winner's must be able to shop during Grand Opening Festivities of each store. No transportation to the stores will be provided. Prize does not include any item not specifically described in these Official Rules and consists of only those items specifically listed above as part of the prize. All fees, federal, state and other taxes, costs and expenses relating to the use, acceptance and possession of any prize are the sole responsibility of winner.
Potential winners will be notified by email and/or telephone. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours of first notification attempt or if any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, any interest of such potential winner in a prize shall be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture, no payment or other compensation will be made to the original potential winner. Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable, or refundable and may not be redeemed for cash, or other merchandise, and no substitutions will be made by Sponsor under any circumstances, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Recipients of such notifications must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility or prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be selected. A Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number is required to be provided to Sponsor so that Sponsor may issue a 1099 Form. In the event of noncompliance with this or any other requirement, a potential winner will be disqualified. No substitution, exchange or transfer of prize except by Sponsor, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules. Entrants are solely responsible for their own actions and agree to hold harmless Sponsor, Macy's, Inc., all prize providers, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions and related companies, together with and the officers, directors, employees, agents, insurers, successors, assigns and licensees of each of them (collectively the "Promotion Parties") from any liability for losses, damages or injuries arising in connection with their participation in the Sweepstakes or the award or use of a prize. Acceptance of a prize constitutes consent to use winner's name and likeness for editorial, advertising, publicity and television broadcast purposes without further consent or compensation except where prohibited. Winner need not be present at time of drawing. Sweepstakes governed by United States and Louisiana law and is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Income and other taxes, if any and all expenses not detailed in the prize description are the sole responsibility of the winner.
