Acknowledging the devastating effects HIV/AIDS was having on the world and future generations, Macy's sought to educate young adults about prevention, and detection. In 2002 Macy's Passport hosted its first Fashion Inform. This unique experience offers guests an evening of fun, food, education, fashion and compassion. Bay Area High Schools are selected early in the spring of each year, with tickets not being sold or marketed to the public. Fashion Inform, HIV Prevention 101 is an evening underwritten by Macy's West.
2007 Participating Schools include, but not limited to: ISA High School, Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, International High School, Leadership High School, Amador High School, Burlingame, High School, Encinal High School, Burton High School, Lincoln High School, Lowell High School, San Domenico School, Newcomer High School, Brenkwitz Continuation High School, Ida B Wells High School, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Stuart Hall High School, Downtown High School and Raoul Wallenberg High School.
