Acknowledging the devastating effects HIV/AIDS was having on the world and future generations, Macy's sought to educate young adults about prevention, and detection. In 2003 Macy's Passport hosted its first Teen Night in Los Angeles. This unique experience offers guests an evening of fun, food, education, fashion and compassion. Los Angeles High Schools are selected early in the spring of each year, with tickets not being sold or marketed to the public. Fashion Inform, HIV Prevention 101 is an evening underwritten by Macy's West.
2007 Participating Schools include, but are not limited to: Beverly Hills High School, Carson High School, Cleveland High School, Garfield High School, Franklin High School, John Marshall High School, LA School District ROP Retail Program, Taft H.S. L'ATELIER Fashion Academy, Santa Monica High School, Huntington Park High School, Gardena High School.
