AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) is dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease;reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV-related public policy.

AltaMed's mission is to increase access to comprehensive health and human services to multi-ethnic and Latino medically undeserved communities in Southern California.

 

halsaHIV/AIDS Legal Services Alliance, Inc. (HALSA)
HALSA is the only legal services organization in Los Angeles County dedicated to serving low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS. Legal services are the invisible lynchpin keeping other vital services secure, including employment, housing, health insurance and public benefits. HALSA provides legal services and education, helping to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, while helping persons living with HIV/AIDS lead more healthy and productive lives.

Palms Residential Care Facility
The Palms is a model of a rare kind of AIDS facility, one focused on helping African Americans, Latinos and whites who live far from the centers of white gay life, where the largest share of public money for AIDS services has been traditionally spent.

Project Angel Food
Project Angel Food is unique; we are the only not-for-profit to deliver freshly cooked meals throughout Los Angeles County to men, women and children debilitated by HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses. Project Angel Food is more than 80% volunteer driven and delivers more than 1,300 life-sustaining meals each day.

 

uclaUCLA AIDS Institute
Through laboratory research and coordinated patient care, the UCLA AIDS Institute is leading the worldwide effort to eradicate HIV and AIDS. The Institute's dedicated scientists are committed to developing more effective education and prevention strategies for at-risk communities around the world, and better treatments for all people living with HIV. Innovative research programs that aim to develop a safe and effective HIV vaccine are among the UCLA AIDS Institute's very highest priorities.

 

APAIT-ColorAsian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team
Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team provides prevention, health and social services, community leadership, and advocacy to Asian and Pacific Islanders in Southern California living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS.

Foothill AIDS Project
For 20 years, Foothill AIDS Project (FAP) has provided vital supportive services to people affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. Each year, FAP serves more than one thousand people with cutting edge programs, including health education, case management, integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment, housing assistance and homeless prevention.

 

 

Whittier-Rio-Hondo-ColorWhittier Rio Hondo AIDS Project
The Whittier Rio Hondo AIDS Project started over 15 years as a support group for those infected with HIV and now has become a vital lifeline of comprehensive services to over 150 persons living with HIV/AIDS in Whittier and in the South Bay. WRHAP is proud to provide innovative and popular prevention programs for youth in the community and at the Christopher Wahl Youth Center.

Childrens-Hospital-LA-ColoChildrens Hospital Los Angeles
Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is a community-based, non-profit medical center with over a century of experience. The hospital is an international leader in treating some of the most complex forms of pediatric injury and disease. The HIV component of the hospital's Community, Health Outcomes, and Intervention Research (CHOIR) Program studies youth involvement in HIV risk-related behaviors, designs and evaluates effective prevention programs, reaches out to "hidden" high-risk youth groups, and provides linkage to care.

HEAR ME Project
The HEAR ME Project, a non-profit organization, is host to the annual YOUR WORLD. YOUR WORDS. HIV/AIDS Story-Writing Competition for youth ages 14-22. The winning story is adapted into a screenplay and turned into an HIV awareness film for nationwide distribution to schools, health departments, HIV programs, and other youth-serving organizations. A panel of celebrity judges selects the winning story.
