The 2009 "Book A Brighter Future" promotion raised $6.5 million for RIF and set a new record for the largest customer-supported campaign in RIF's 43-year history. Over the last year, Macy's has helped to provide nearly 1.6 million books to over half a million children and donated 400 multicultural book collections to schools, Head Start centers and libraries in every state and U.S. territory.
