Cornelia has always had a passion for flowers. After growing up in Chicago and earning a degree in fine art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she moved to Manhattan. There she treasured the opportunity to learn from the country's finest floral and event designers, including David Stark of David Stark Design and Production with whom she worked closely on events unprecedented in their originality and lavishness in the United States and abroad. Increasingly called to design parties and flowers on her own for clients as diverse as L'Oreal Paris and 50 cent, she founded Cornelia McNamara Flowers in 2003. Her unique flair for floral material combined with an art school approach to dramatic and striking design have since established her as a leading designer in her own right. In 2007, she returned home to Chicago as her primary base of operations, and has relished the opportunity to add glamour to city's increasingly eminent private, corporate and cultural celebrations.
